“Taking Leadership Lessons From The Battlefield To The Boardroom”

• ... Your organization is facing the most important challenge in its history

• ... Your main competitor is regaining strength rapidly after a major setback

• ... Your people, while confident and possessed of the 'elan' of victory, are tired, hungry and lack the most basic assets

• ... You have taken risks that on their face seem beyond reckless, but so far, you have prevailed … still the real test is yet to come

• ... Failure will leave you devoid of any alternative strategy … isolated and vulnerable to dismissal … or worse

• ... The time is 0500 hours, 17 September 1862

Or, NOW,

What do you do?

To help prepare you for decisions this important, APPLIED BATTLEFIELD CONCEPTS LLC offers an intensive, experiential learning-based training experience modeled after the U.S. Army's century-old "Battlefield Staff Ride."

The Corporate Staff Ride consists of three phases - 1) a preliminary business case-type study of the battle, 2) a series of carefully selected stops (by vehicle and on foot) at pivotal places on an important battlefield in American History, where crucial decisions were made and specific issues of leadership can be explored, and 3) "after action review" workshops using the interactive case method approach to explore those selected issues.

The metaphor of the Civil War corps/division commander at war is particularly apt for a CEO and staff level corporate staff ride. The personnel, asset, logistics, and organizational responsibilities of the Civil War corps/division commander will seem familiar to many business and other professionals. So too, will the interplay of strategy, organization, communication, logistics, and personality on decision making under conditions of the great uncertainty.

Join Applied Battlefield Concepts LLC on a journey into the past that will help illuminate your most important concerns and expand your thinking about the future.
