Biography

Diana Reep has been a writer since she first made up horror stories to tell her elementary school classmates. With a Ph.D. in English from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, she taught university courses in business and technical writing, American literature, Arthurian Legend, and film. Her publications include a novel of the early movie business (CHICAGO MOVIE GIRLS), two YA novels (THE DANGEROUS SUMMER OF JESSE TURNER and KISS’D), a Silhouette romance, a technical writing textbook in its 8th edition, a writing handbook for educators, an annotated bibliography of technical writing sources, a literary biography, a study of popular 19th century novels, short fiction, and over 30 articles focused on business communication or popular culture topics. No longer grading papers, she writes historical fiction and has a deep interest in the history of the late 1800s and early 1900s, classic movies, and popular culture. A member of the Authors Guild, Historical Novel Society, Romance Writers of America, and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, she lives in the Midwest and hopes every year for a mild winter.
