To be published in November 2003 by Grolier Academic Reference, this is the first work on American women that is arranged by state (or potential state). Weatherford’s narratives for each begin with “Prehistory” and end with “Postwar and Contemporary History;” other chronological subdivisions are appropriate to the place’s individual past. |
