THE ROYAL NONESUCH PRESS

Ed Searl established The Royal Nonesuch Press in 1978 to print a chapbook collection of poetic meditations he wrote as minister of the First Unitarian Church of Youngstown, Ohio. Similar collections followed, as he transitioned in 1983 from Youngstown to Hinsdale, Illinois.

The Royal Nonesuch moniker references Mark Twain’s Huckleberry Finn, specifically the theatrical ruse of the Duke and the King.

In recent years, the RNP imprint has published Searl’s books through the on demand resources of Create Space and LuLu.

These works are available as soft cover books, downloads, and e-books.

A reader will find joy and inspiration in this beguiling book that illuminates the Holidays in all their richness.

The author is a seasoned Unitarian minister. For 33 years, he has fashioned diverse services that explored and honored Mid-Winter’s many festivals, including Hanukkah, the Winter Solstice, Christmastide in its many manifestations, Christmas Eve, Kwanzaa, and The New Year. This anthology collects some of his original writings around Holiday themes. They explore the Season's lore, as well as capture the irrepressible spirit of the Holidays.
