Summertime Reading

June 1, 2006

Dear Readers,

Summer is almost here, and that means v-a-c-a-t-i-o-n. Whether you're heading to the beach this year or to the mountains, be sure to stock up on some good reads to settle in with while you enjoy your leisure time.

Book News...
Hot Ticket anthology - featuring novellas by four of your favorite USA Today bestselling authors Deirdre Martin, Julia London, Annette Blair, and me - is now available wherever paperback books are sold.

My contribution - a story titled Can't Catch This - is about a woman who meets the man of her dreams at an arena football game. Be sure to visit your favorite bookstore and pick up your copy of Hot Ticket.

"It's been a while since I've read an anthology that I enjoyed so much and I highly recommend this one."
~~ Ellen Micheletti, All About Romance

"A great anthology from beginning to end. Game, set, match for Hot Ticket!
~~ Romance Junkies

"Great fun. Sports-girls who love romance rarely get to combine their two loves in such a neat little package. SCORE!
~~ Susan Schulman, Romance News

Contest News...
To celebrate the release of Hot Ticket, I'm giving away one book from my backlist. On summer solstice (June 21, 2006), the winner will be drawn at random from my list of newsletter subscribers and will receive the title of his or her choice. So sign up and good luck!

Other News...
Please join me in congratulating my daughter Stacy and her husband Mike on the birth of their daughter, Aubrey Anne.

At the same time, I ask for your prayers. Aubrey was five days old when her dad, Mike, a former Marine and veteran of the war in Iraq, was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. Mike is currently undergoing an aggressive treatment of chemo and radiation before facing surgery in July. Your good thoughts for his recovery are greatly appreciated.

Next month, my husband Gene and I will be visiting friends and relatives in the Miami area. Afterwards, we're taking our oldest grandson, ten-year-old Jason, on a long awaited trip to Disney World.

Whatever your plans are for this summer, don't forget to include lots of love, laughter, and sunscreen. And, as always, thank you for your many emails. I enjoy hearing from you.

Until next time, may you always have romance in your life.
