...ABOUT JUDY SEMAS (Business Career Milestones) She was recognized as Outstanding Business Woman in Northern California by the American Business Women's Association (1987). Semas has moved up from the ranks of secretary to business executive - TWICE. In one instance, she moved from temporary secretary to president/CEO in just over one year. As a result of a business project she undertook on her own initiative, she was promoted to bank officer at the age of 26 in 1968 - a time when: _ Only a relative "handful" of women had achieved management positions in the U.S. _ Virtually all U.S. business clubs and organizations were exclusively male.
