Lisa Bernhard

Lisa Bernhard is a multi-platform content creator and manager, and current on-air anchor of three business/news shows for Reuters.com and ReutersInsider.com: "Morning Call," "3XSQ" (3 Times Square) and "Trading at Noon." Her experience in national media includes includes prior positions as on-air Entertainment Correspondent for the Fox News Channel and Deputy Editor of TV Guide magazine.

As president of LLBContent, Bernhard has conceived and created content for multiple platforms. Recent roles include Editorial Director for American Media, Inc., where she developed a prototype for a new consumer entertainment magazine. She has also written about entertainment, health and media for The New York Times, Self, TV Guide, Next Avenue and others. As a video writer, producer and host, Bernhard's projects include the first ever fund-raising Web-a-thon for a dramatic series (anyonebutmeseries.com), and a video for Self.com on the annual conference for Young Women Affected by Breast Cancer.

Bernhard is also passionate about her non-profit work. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of CharityNavigator.org, America's leading evaluator of non-profit institutions. She has also served as EVP of Marketing & Media Development for StupidCancer.org, dedicated to young adult cancer survivors. As co-host and executive producer of the organization's irreverent and informative talk-radio Web cast, The Stupid Cancer Show, from January, 2010 to October, 2012, she helped grow the audience from 30,000 to 1.8 million listens. Guests included noted politicians (Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz), actors (Laura Linney) prominent health care professionals (Dr. Susan Love) and CEOs (Doug Ulman, Livestrong).

As Fox News Entertainment Correspondent from 2003 to 2007, Bernhard reported live from major national events (The Oscars, American Idol, the Sundance Film Festival); co-hosted the network's New Years Eve special from Times Square; created on-air packages on a wide range of topics (9/11 themed documentaries; entertainment business news; stars' legal woes); and conducted numerous celebrity interviews. She also served as host and reporter for the Fox News Radio network and columnist for FoxNews.com.

Prior to joining Fox, Bernhard was Deputy Editor of TV Guide, where she co-managed the editorial and design staff, conceptualized and approved content, and directed and oversaw all work flow. In addition, she served as Editor in Chief of two successful, full-size, TV Guide-branded special issues, "Seinfeld Forever" and "This is Elvis." Working with the magazine's advertising and marketing departments, Bernhard delivered key annual presentations to the media-buying community. And as TV Guide's primary on-air spokesperson, she appeared on Today, The View, Good Morning America, Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, Extra, CNN, MSNBC and VH1. During that time, she was also a contracted weekly contributor to Fox News’s entertainment round table, The Insiders.

Bernhard has moderated panels for New York Women in Film and Television, featuring top cable and broadcast executives, and for a TV Guide/Media Week partnership focusing on niche marketing.

Personalities interviewed over her career include Michael Jackson, Paul McCartney, Bette Midler, Ellen Degeneres, Rosie O’Donnell, Christopher Reeve, Glenn Close and many others. She has traveled to, and written about, locales ranging from the Hollywood set of the TV series ER to the edge of the Sahara Desert in Morocco for a movie starring Halle Berry.

Along with noted writers and actors including J.K. Rowling, Meryl Streep, Kate Winslet and Maya Angelou, Bernhard contributed a personal essay to the 2006 book Becoming Myself: Reflections on Growing up Female. Hers is about life lessons learned as a childhood baseball fan.

A graduate of Colgate University, Bernhard got her start in media as a disc jockey for campus radio station WRCU. While in college, she spent one semester of study at The London School of Economics and The University of London. Bernhard has been a staff writer and editor for Us Weekly and The Cable Guide magazines, and has also written for Rolling Stone and The Advocate.
