BIOGRAPHY
Mark loved teaching in Central Islip,Long Island, New York. He was named Elementary/Secondary Teacher of the Year by the New York State Reading Association,1989. He received his BA and MA from Queens College,CUNY and was an adjunct professor of Education, SUNY Old Westbury.

Married to a patient wife, he is proud of his two sons. Memberships include the Authors Guild, Society of Childrens Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI),Florida Writers Association, and local writing groups. Mark founded and is ‘Top Cat’ of The Childrens Authors Team (C.A.T.) (see Facebook),and was named Lake County Florida Children’s Author of the Year 2002. He loves visiting children, parents and teachers in schools and libraries to promote a love of reading and writing.
