Nicholas Eftimiades

The story is a satirical comedy that takes place 200 years in the future. The book’s main character is Edward Temple. He is an ordinary person caught up in a zany world where self-aware supercomputers have personalities which make their behavior as odd and erratic as their human counterparts. He is drawn into a quest to discover the true nature of God, which computers believe to be more software than spiritual. This madcap story satirizes modern life, from organized religion to the traffic control system, war, and of course jelly donuts find their way into the story.

Joining Edward in this adventure are Amanda Schoor and Mega Brain. Amanda is an attorney recently befriended by Edward. Mega Brain is an advanced artificial intelligence software protocol that has uploaded itself into Edward’s subconscious.

The technology in the book is an extension of the today’s most advanced research and development efforts. Throughout the book, technology development taken to extreme conclusions places the characters in absurd, often comedic situations.
