Biography

Mr. Maher is an independent scholar and writer from Massachusetts. He has earned a B.A. in American Studies and a Master's degree in English and Education. Maher currently has four published books with two others forthcoming.

Maher is currently transcribing the Thoreau's half-million words of native Aboriginal extracts as well as locating all of the main sources used by Thoreau in this series of notebooks. Each of these notebooks will be independently published by Maher available for Thoreau research. Look for the first and second notebooks to be published some time in Winter 2008/09.

Maher is currently filming an independent feature titled Mothers of the Disappeared based on his original screenplay. A documentary on Henry Thoreau is also under development.
