Dr. Suraci developed a friendship with Shirley Mason (Sybil) after she was cured from Multiple Personality Disorder. She gave him personal effects and paintings made by five of her personalities which all appear in the book. He discovered evidence to disprove the critics who were attempting to attack the veracity of her case.

Bless Me Father
An Italian family in upstate New York provides the environment for the development of a troubled teenage boy. When the boy comes into contact with his caring parish priest, a tragedy occurs. Machinations of the Catholic Church, which have been reported in the news, play a part in this drama.

Non-Fiction
Dr. Suraci learned about Sybil in 1973 when his friend, Flora Schreiber, gave him her book, "Sybil". After Flora died, he discovered Sybil's true identity - Shirley Mason - and they became friends. She gave Dr. Suraci all the personal material that is in "Sybil In Her Own Words". Book reading and signing at the Bluestockings bookstore, March 31, 2012, at 7 pm. A projection of the paintings made by 5 of Sybil's alternate personalities with interpretations and playing a recorded conversation with Shirley Mason enlighted the audience. Book reading and signing at the Middletown Township Public Library in New Jersey on October 3 at 7 pm.
