Biography

Ric Klass has a diverse background with nine careers. He taught math in public high schools in the Bronx, including a Gates Foundation sponsored school. Afterwards, he taught high school mathematics in a prep school in Manhattan. Previously, Ric was a volunteer tutor for disadvantaged students. He taught entrepreneurship for more than four years at Georgetown University's School of Business Administration.

Ric wrote, directed, and produced a full-length feature film -
Elliot Fauman, Ph.D.
- a romantic comedy released by the distribution arm of United Artists Theater Circuit and premiered at The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Previously, he was a film reviewer for in-town newspapers in Washington, D.C. He is a member of the Writers Guild of America, East
and the Authors Guild.

Ric was an entrepreneur for most of his career. He served as founder and chairman of a private equity firm; head of corporate finance for a Wall Street investment bank; and founder and chairman of a real estate development company and a high-security data storage company.

Prior to running his own companies, Ric served as financial consultant to the Department of Housing and Urban Development and director of market research for a publicly-owned real estate development company. Previous to his graduate business school education, he worked as an engineer/​scientist on the NASA space program. He is a graduate of M.I.T. and earned a master's degree from the University of Southern California, Harvard Business School, and Mercy College.

Ric lives in Greenwich Village, NY.
He's currently in post-production for his next feature film as
writer/​producer/​director:
"Excuse Me For Living"
a romantic comedy that completed principal photography in May 2011.
