Thanks for taking an interest in staying in touch!

Over the years I've experimented with myriad ways of keeping in touch. Apparently the number of messenger pigeons I needed exceeded local land use regulations, so at this point, I've gone to using an email service. I have a number of different email options you can choose from, depending on what interests you most. You can reach me directly through the contact form at the bottom of this page. If you would like to receive my regularly scheduled email notices about blog posts or farm happenings, you can choose from one (or more) of the following:

Shannon Hayes Blog Updates This is a weekly email containing a link to my Tuesday Post, which is an in-depth essay exploring some topic of farming, family life, radical homeking, and living close to home and sustainably. The blog also has daily photos and short entries on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, but you will not receive an email notice of these (just keep checking back!).

Grassfed Cooking Newsletter is a monthly email featuring stories and recipes about grassfed and pastured meat and livestock farming

Pakatakan Farmers Market Newsletter is a weekly newsletter from Mid May through Thanksgiving for those folks who visit us at our weekly farmers market stall at The Round Barn in Holcottsville, NY. This contains information for weekly pre-ordering and sales of our farm products.

Sap Bush Hollow Farm Direct Newsletter is our monthly on-farm news containing sale day dates and hours and information pertinent to those of you who buy products directly from Sap Bush Hollow Farm. It is usually written by my mom, Adele Hayes.

When you enter your address in the space below, you will be taken to a page where you can select as many of these different newsletters as you'd like. If you need to contact me directly, I can be reached at feedbackatshannonhayes.info. Please avoid calling. I don't usually answer the phone.

About the BLOG: My blog (which can be found using the menu at the top of this page) focuses on my farm and family life here in West Fulton, NY, with occasional efforts to promote my books or farm products (this is the only compensation I receive for my writing). For folks who like a more intense read, each Tuesday morning I put up the "Tuesday Post," an in-depth essay examining some aspect of farming, homeschooling, radical homemaking, or living sustainably. If you'd like a reminder, you can sign up for the weekly newsletter called "Shannon Hayes Blog Updates," which will send you a link to each Tuesday Post. For those of you who like to breeze through on a quick visit, I try to post a photo and shorter entry every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, showing up-to-date glimpses of our life here. I hope you enjoy it.
