Notes from a recovering know-it-all

As a kid, I always had my nose in a book. In school, the teacher had to tell me to put my hand down because I wanted to ask every question or answer every question. My best friend called me Encyclopedia Suze.

I've been a reporter (where I realized I really didn't know it all), an educator, a wife, and a mom. Now I'm a full time writer. My family sometimes gets tired of my obsessions but I've turned that hyper focus into a drive to chase big, true stories that I just can't get enough of.

Books are my first language and I love reading and writing stories about unforgettable people who are living lives of adventure, courage, hope, redemption, and transformation.

As a breast cancer survivor, I celebrate life by chasing great stories in places like Cuba, Haiti, Turkey, Israel, and my own backyard. I also ride a crazy ex-racehorse named Stetson, hike in the High Sierras, and ski black diamond runs whenever I can.

Because--here's the thing--life is short, so why not start a little adventure?
