Valerie Brown's works include Paralegal Guide to Intellectual Property and Legal Research Via the Internet. Her new book, International Business Law, is forthcoming.

Brown enjoys researching computer and technology issues, current legal and policy issues, fitness and health concerns, and gardening topics. Her experience includes drafting and publishing newsletters and website copy for the semiconductor industry. In addition, Brown has experience in the legal field as a researcher.

Brown's background includes a degree in government and Spanish and an M.A. in political science/​legal studies. Along with her degrees, she studied in summer programs at the City University, London and at the Universidad de Salamanca, Spain.

With extensive experience with workplace issues, her latest in-depth study concentrated on mobbing and bullying in the workplace.

Brown attended training as a Master Gardner and as a Habitat Steward. She focuses her attention on herbal remedies and homeopathic health alternatives. Her late father had Parkinson's disease and her research has been focused on the causes of the disease and ways for caregivers to cope with its effects. Her published memories of time spent with her father resulted in an art book of photographs and calligraphic design. The private book is not yet available on the commercial market.
